Why Organic

Cotton makes up about half of the worlds’ fibre use. It is chemically intensive to produce, taking about 500 grams of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers to grow the cotton needed to make just one sheet![size?] The residues of these chemicals and toxins used in cotton production can remain in the end product. Organic cotton substantially reduces this toxic load on the environment and also helps preserve precious waterways. 

You’ll probably spend about 250,000 hours in bed over your lifetime. That is a long time to have your skin in contact with potential chemical residues in your bedding.  Because SleepFROG organic bedding is free from residual toxins such as formaldehyde, the risk of skin irritations is reduced.

About SleepFROG Products

SleepFROG is proudly manufactured in New Zealand using high quality, long-lasting organic cotton.  The thread count is 240TC (300 Aus/NZ per 10cm standard) with thicker yarn for a superior feel.  Our organic white cotton sheets are breathable and cool with a nice crisp feel, making it an ideal fabric for a good night’s sleep.  

SleepFROG items are  generous in size and made with an allowance for shrinkage if you need to hot wash for allergies.

All SleepFROG cotton is 100% certified organic by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) through Control Union Certifications BV, Meeuwenlaan4-6, Zwolle, Netherlands.  SleepFROG bedding is also Certified Fair Trade by FLO-Cert, Bonn, Germany.
